Reporter-turned-mixologist Samantha Warren is serving cocktails at the German Texan Lodge's Fourth of July festival. The mood is sour, because of a proposal to build a private, country-club tennis center on the lodge grounds. Her mom's best friend Patty Davis is against the plan, and society matron Angela Clawson is all for it. When Angela is found dead, Samantha wants to clear Patty's name, but can she handle another murder case—as she did in A Dash of Death—or will the whole investigation go bottoms up?
