During an 1889 heat wave in New York City, the city's models begin turning up dead, one by one. Journalist Genevieve Stewart and her friend Callie search among the upper class, the crime world, and the art scene. London's Jack the Ripper murders have everyone on edge, and the police want to keep the killings quiet.
